Morty, a 1-1/2 year old pit bull mix, is recovering at West Suburban Veterinary Associates, in Westmont, thanks to the care from Dr. Alan Main and his staff. Morty suffered injuries as a "bait dog" for dogfights and has put on 20 pounds since being rescued. Fundraising is going on further needed surgery.
