Located down an alley on Front Street near the Front Street Lofts in Lemont, is a mural dedicated to Lemont native Rudy Kling. Kling, a pilot who gained national fame when he won the Thompson Trophy at the Cleveland Air Races in 1937, died 75 years ago Monday, when his plane crashed in Florida.
