The New Life Lutheran Church, 249 N. Bolingbrook Dr. in Bolingbrook held its annual event, "Las Pasadas," on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. The event is traditionally a nine-day celebration representing the birth of Jesus Christ. During the event, participants left the church and stopped at three locations—intended to represent the Virgin Mary and Joseph searching for an inn. At each stop, they are turned away.
